Workshop Description

How can a teacher provide a safe environment for children when their own mental health is not adequately cared for?
What emotions do educators experience, and how do these affect their daily school life?
What internal processes and strategies can they develop to manage the emotional challenges of the profession more effectively?

This workshop places particular emphasis on the mental health and empowerment of teachers, rather than discussions about pedagogical approaches or the use of new tools inside and outside the classroom. Given the many responsibilities educators shoulder and the lack of state-provided psychological support in schools, we will focus on identifying and managing the emotions that arise in the school environment.

Through experiential activities, participants will explore their internal challenges to identify their needs while striving to offer the best possible support to their students.

*This workshop is organized upon invitation from the 1st School Region of Attica. It is a closed session, exclusively for teachers of the ZEP (Reception Classes for Refugee Education) program.

**The workshop is experiential, and we will engage in both individual and group activities.
