Description
What personality traits do you notice in yourself?
Are you aware of them all?
Do you see aspects of yourself in TV characters from the Greek 90’s?
In this Dramatherapy workshop, we will develop roles inspired by beloved Greek 90’s characters and focus on identifying the contrasting sides of our personalities.
How?
According to Stanislavski’s theory (2008), the development of a role begins with the concept of the “truth of circumstances.” The person playing a role is asked to believe in the imaginary conditions of the play and live the character through them. This approach is based on the concept of the “if,” a fundamental idea in Stanislavski’s system:
“What would happen if I found myself in the same circumstances as the character?”
This question allows the performer to integrate the role on a personal level and discover genuine emotions.
So, what would happen if you played a specific character of a Greek 90’s persona?
The magical “if,” central to Stanislavski’s system, is used in Dramatherapy practice, allowing participants to experience emotions and scenarios through simulation, free from the restrictions of everyday life. Through the lens of Dramatherapy, these imaginary situations offer the freedom to explore hidden or suppressed emotional states, enriched by the discussion that unfolds after the role-playing.
We will play roles and experiment with contrasting and opposing aspects of ourselves, focusing on expression rather than technique.
